Jesse McCartney Asks You to Stand Up for Your Favorite Health Org

Jesse McCartney has teamed up with Stand Up 2 Cancer and YouTube to provide struggling health organizations with support and promotion on YouTube's own website.

YouTube has launched their new Video Volunteers channel, as "a simple way for you to help raise awareness for causes you care about, and compete for recognition of your work on the YouTube homepage." Each month, the channel will feature a different relevant issue with a new guest curator, and allow its subscribers the opportunity to showcase their work with their favorite organizations to "a huge audience."

This month's spotlight is on health, in observance of World Cancer Day on February 4th. Users are encouraged to upload a 3 minute promotional video on the health organization of their choice by midnight on February 23. The Video Volunteers page currently features a list of organizations in need of support, including SafeGuard LGBT Health Resource Center, FACE AIDS, and the Hollick Foundation, which provides toothbrushes to underprivileged children.

The top three videos will be featured on the homepage at the end of the month.

Jesse also recently lent his voice to Variety's Power of Youth, in hopes of aiding in Haiti relief efforts.
